Description
This was taken 2 weeks ago on a Spring day outing. I saw lots of human foot traffic damage on the flowers. If the flowers are stepped on and crushed before they have a chance to make mature seeds, then that’s basically a goner for next season. It is not true the more you kill, the more they grow. As you may also know, most of California is desert climate, prone to drought and fire. The last super bloom was 2017. We need to treasure and protect what we have been gifted from nature.

I love the way the yellow flowers in the foreground take you on a winding journey all the way into the image.
Alinna Lee replied:
Thanks. I made this observation during the hike that these golden flowers seem to grow in a line. Not sure why.

Thanks Tiny. It fascinated me to no end I saw this growth pattern throughout the area. I would like to know why.

I could never willfully step on a flower. I used to live at Lake Tahoe, and now on the 4th of July, tourists flood the area, and leave messes for the locals to clean. I don't understand a sense of entitlement toward nature.
Alinna Lee replied:
Thanks Cheri. People can be quite self-centered. The selfie-obsessed people are the worse. I compare their action to dogs marking territory with their pee.

So incredibly beautiful! Amazing beauty!
Alinna Lee replied:
Thanks Jennifer! Sometimes I make the photo better looking than reality was but in this case, the actual scene was better than the photo. The truth.

Lovely little trail of yellow flowers and specks of orange poppies, beautiful to see such a bloom happening again. Nicely captured!

Nice shot Alinna, so glad you got a chance to see it. It's too bad that people don't respect the land enough to treat it properly :(
Alinna Lee replied:
Thanks Tim! Next year I am going to see the tulips. I love your tulip field so much.
